THE BABUSIA STORY
"Babusia" is a folk and bohemian jewelry brand that embodies the Polish and Slavic soul.
It was created in 2018 in the Hauts-de-France region, where the Polish imprint is still very present.
Babusia" is pronounced babouchia and means granny in Polish.
The brand tells the story of its creator, her Polish origins, the colorful memories of her childhood, but also her journeys to Poland and Slavic lands steeped in mystery and discovery.
HER CREATOR
Virginie weaves the threads of her family heritage into her jewelry.
Each collection is a mosaic of memories: wreaths of flowers in her hair, Polish folk costumes, and the matryoshkas she has collected.
Each piece of jewelry is a unique ode to my cultural heritage, a precious and poetic story to wear.
"The "Babusia" brand advocates quality over quantity, opting for the "handmade" approach and proposing modest production.

THE FIRST COLLECTION
The first signature collection, the one closest to the designer's heart, is the "Krakowiak" collection, now known as "Folk Dolls".
Portraits of Polish women in folk costumes.
Then came Ukrainian, Bulgarian...
We see the conception of the design, the weaving and the finished creation.
